web design

Website design and development

We deliver both static and dynamic websites - including content management systems (CMS) and ecommerce, focussing on the client's needs and advising on the best way to achieve their goals.

Our approach to website projects

When approached for a web project, we will provide you with a formal proposal detailing all aspects and prices of the work we will undertake. This gives you a clear view of what you can expect, and no surprises on the cost. Of course, you are under no obligation to agree to the proposal!

We will work with you to determine the style of site you are looking for and incorporate your input at every stage, whilst offering professional opinion and guidance as to best practice ways to achieve your goals.

We will submit a design mock up to you, which you are free to accept, request tweaks, or throw away and ask us to start from scratch. We continue with this iterative approach until you are happy with the design: then we proceed to a build.

The different types of websites:

Static websites

A static website is essentially an online brochure; it's published, it changes rarely, and gives generally non-interactive information about your business.

Static websites may include visually dynamic elements (either javascript or flash) depending on the design.

Please see our portfolio page for examples of our work on static websites.

Dynamic websites

A dynamic website is more advanced: it may contain any or several of the following:

  • Content Management System (CMS) elements; allowing you to edit the content whenever you see fit
  • E-commerce capabilities; allowing your customers to buy from you online
  • User-generated/personalised content etc
  • Members areas
  • Editable slideshows
  • Newsletters
  • Customer signup

Please see our portfolio page for examples of our work on dynamic websites.
